ADONAI ARTS ACADEMY ADVISOR / ADONAI INTL FOUNDER

Serenity is a devoted wife and homeschooling mother of four, who loves Jesus. Her hearts desire is to be in the presence of God and to see others draw near to the throne of grace, with confidence. She has danced most her life, studying classical ballet, modern, hip hop, tap, jazz, theatre dance, and music theory. In the early 90's Serenity received a NDA award representing IL in NY, attended master classes, and became a Company member with Midwest Dance in Shorewood, IL under Tracie Marciniak. During her college years Serenity choreographed dance worship for multiple youth conferences in Wheaton and Elgin, IL. After experiencing Germany and France in 97, Serenity was eager to serve in Kiev, Ukraine and Davos, Switzerland on Deaf Ministerial Practicums in 98. There she also had the privilege of ministering through dance.  Her burden has remained for God's work in those countries and their children, especially those hurt from trafficking. Serenity served her internship in Chicago, IL assisting inner city Deaf. She received her BA in Deaf Culture Studies, with a focus in Bible, from NCU in MN before establishing a Deaf Ministry program for a hearing Christian Fellowship Church in Joliet, IL. There she also directed a dance team for the youth group her husband pastored. Serenity studied the Balanchine method of Ballet in Naperville, IL under Kenneth von Heidecke for one year. In 02' Serenity began her teachers training with DMA, NY. She has successfully examed in Ballet, Cecchetti method. Serenity has served as a dance worshiper for women conferences in WI, MN, IL and TN, and as a speaker for Chicago Christian Academy purity luncheons. Which later inspired Adonai's Psalm 51 luncheon.

Serenity taught dance at the School of Chicago Festival Ballet and Hermitage Hills Arts Academy. In 2007 the Lord inspired God's Princess Camps, in 2009 she opened Adonai Dance Studio, and in 2011 a Board of Directors was formed when Adonai International incorporated to become a 501c3, adding Music, Art and Drama. While serving with the Board, Adonai’s Court summer program was established. Training beloved teachers and watching students grow has brought Serenity great joy.  She has seen the Lord use dance to affect lives and believes that souls can be won for Christ through the ministry of gifts. Together with her husband Matthew, it is their desire to see God's Word and great love shared through the arts, because it is a media that crosses cultural and language barriers.
